Tested, Vetted, And Only Then, Recommended
Parents are busy. Crazy busy. So, the goal of this page is to sift through all the stuff for parents out there and simplify the list to save you time. If I receive samples, I test them for as little as a weekend or as long as a month. Either way, I research everything I review. Like hours of research. If it sucks, it goes in the trash pile. If it passes the review process, then it achieves the coveted status of Wilderdad Recommended.
Gifts & Gear
I’ve worked in the outdoor sporting goods business for 25 years. I started as a bike mechanic, worked in skateboard shops, did the ski area thing for a season, and have been in the running shoe business the last decade. So I know good gear when I see it.
Point is, when you see a gift idea or any piece of outdoor gear on the Wilderdad Recommended list, you can be damned sure it’ll do the job.
